Hunyuan3D-DiT serves as the geometry generation core, employing a scalable flow-based diffusion transformer to reconstruct untextured 3D shapes that strictly adhere to the input's structural conditions. The second stage, handled by Hunyuan3D-Paint, utilizes multi-view diffusion techniques and geometric priors to synthesize high-resolution texture maps. This pipeline supports the generation of Physically-Based Rendering (PBR) materials, including albedo, normal, roughness, and metallic maps, ensuring the assets are ready for realistic lighting environments.

Hunyuan3D 2.0 offers multiple model variants to balance quality and resource consumption, including a standard version and a "mini" variant designed for lower VRAM requirements. The system is engineered to minimize common artifacts like surface noise or inconsistent geometry. For optimal generation, users are encouraged to provide clear, centered source images with high contrast and simple backgrounds for image-to-3D tasks. When using text prompts, descriptive language regarding the object's physical form, materials, and lighting conditions can significantly improve the detail and accuracy of the output.
