Unlike generative upscalers that often reconstruct images from scratch—thereby introducing hallucinated details or shifting textures—this model employs a content-preserving method. It analyzes existing pixel data to scale the image, ensuring the final output remains strictly faithful to the original source.

The model offers scaling multipliers of 2x and 4x and can process images up to a maximum output area of 8192×8192 pixels. It uniquely features native support for alpha channel preservation, meaning transparent backgrounds in PNG and WebP files are kept intact rather than being flattened into a solid color. This capability makes it highly effective for scaling up graphics, product cutouts, logos, and e-commerce assets.
