Suno V5.5 is a generative artificial intelligence music model developed by Suno, officially released on March 26, 2026. Building on the architecture of the V5 series, the model is designed to move beyond generic audio generation toward highly personalized music production. It integrates full-song creation—including lyrics, vocals, instrumentation, and mixing—with a primary focus on capturing and reflecting the user's unique musical identity.

A central feature of V5.5 is the Voices tool, which allows creators to record or upload their own singing voice for the AI to replicate within generated tracks. To maintain security and ownership, the system includes a voice verification process where users must match a live-spoken phrase to their uploaded audio. These voices are private by default, enabling artists to hear their own vocal timbre and delivery in any genre or style.

The model also introduces Custom Models, a fine-tuning capability that allows users to train a personalized version of the generator using their own original catalog. By uploading a minimum of six original tracks, the system learns a creator's specific style, chord preferences, and production tendencies. This is complemented by the My Taste feature, which continuously analyzes user preferences to refine the creative feed and output according to preferred genres and moods.

Technically, V5.5 provides significant improvements in audio fidelity and vocal realism, capturing subtle nuances such as whispers, vibrato, and natural phrasing. The model supports extended compositions up to eight minutes in length with enhanced structural coherence. Alongside the model update, Suno introduced a Studio mode that allows for stem editing, enabling producers to isolate and modify individual components like drums, synthesizers, and vocals.
