FLUX 3 Video is a natively multimodal generative model developed by Black Forest Labs, utilizing a unified "Self-Flow" architecture to jointly process images, video, audio, and robot actions. Unlike earlier systems that generate visual and auditory components through separate models, FLUX 3 operates on a single set of weights to produce synchronized content in a single inference pass. This design is intended to ensure physical consistency across modalities, such as aligning auditory effects with the exact frames of visual motion and maintaining momentum across scenes.

The model generates high-definition video clips up to 20 seconds in length. It supports multiple generation modes, including text-to-video, image-to-video (with support for up to 10 reference images), and video-to-video continuation. Key capabilities include high-fidelity typography rendering, multilingual dialogue with synchronized lip-syncing, and the ability to handle complex scene transitions or camera angle shifts within a single generation.

Control and Features

A core feature of the model is its support for Keyframe-to-Video, which allows creators to pin specific images at designated timestamps to guide the narrative and prevent motion drift. The model also supports cinematic conventions within prompts, such as the "SHOT / HARD CUT" syntax to generate hard cuts between distinct scenes in one request. Beyond creative content, the underlying FLUX 3 backbone is designed for "Real World Understanding," enabling its extension into physical action prediction for robotics applications.

Prompting Guide

For optimal results, prompts should be structured like a professional shot list, specifying camera movements (e.g., "dolly zoom," "pan right"), lens characteristics, and atmospheric lighting. Because the model generates native audio, prompts can explicitly describe auditory layers such as background ambience, specific sound effects, or character speech. When utilizing image-to-video modes, providing multiple keyframes is recommended to anchor the visual progression and maintain character consistency across the duration of the clip.
