HeyGen Video 1 is a general-purpose video generation model developed by HeyGen, marking the company's expansion beyond avatar-rendering software into full-scene cinematic production. Built upon the MiniMax H3 architecture and further post-trained by HeyGen, the model generates short video clips complete with synchronized audio in a single pass, eliminating the need for separate voice-over recordings or independent lip-sync workflows.

The model operates across three primary modes—text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-guided control—allowing users to produce footage from textual prompts, a designated starting frame, or up to 12 multi-format reference assets such as images, videos, and audio clips. HeyGen Video 1 outputs clips ranging from 5 to 15 seconds in duration across various aspect ratios and resolutions up to 2K, natively aligning subjects, lighting, dialogue, and ambient sound effects to fit the described environment.
