Hailuo 02 Fast is a high-performance video generation model developed by MiniMax, designed to produce cinematic-quality video content with optimized speed and efficiency. It is built on a specialized Noise-aware Compute Redistribution (NCR) architecture, which dynamically reallocates computational resources based on noise levels during the generation process. This framework allows the model to achieve a 2.5x increase in inference and training efficiency compared to conventional video generation architectures.

The model supports both Text-to-Video (T2V) and Image-to-Video (I2V) workflows, specializing in the simulation of complex physical interactions and natural motion. Its capabilities include "extreme physics mastery," which enables the realistic rendering of intricate movements such as acrobatics and fluid dynamics. Hailuo 02 Fast also maintains high character consistency and precise motion control, ensuring stable visual identity across video frames.

While the broader Hailuo 02 series supports native 1080p resolution, the Fast variant is specifically tuned for low-latency output. It typically generates videos of 6 to 10 seconds in duration at resolutions such as 512p or 768p at 24-30 frames per second. The model series features a parameter count three times larger than its predecessor, Hailuo 01, and was trained on a dataset four times more extensive to improve instruction following and visual fidelity.
